Minor in ChemistryBasic Information Students majoring in another discipline with the exception of Biochemistry may minor in Chemistry. The Chemistry Minor consists of a selection of elementary and advanced courses that expose the student to a variety of topics. It covers the basic chemical principles and offers various options for advanced study that can be tailored to hte particular interests of the student. The first four courses that are required for the Minor (Chemical Principles I/II and Organic I/II) are prerequisites for the advanced courses. Students can choose from advanced courses in Organic, Biochemistry, Physical, and Analytical Chemistry. Each advanced course has a laboratory requirement, thereby furnishing the student with both theoretical and practical understanding of their chosen area of concentration. Students should discuss their program with the Department Chair or with a chemistry advisor. No Pass/Fail courses may be counted towards the Chemistry Minor. Requirements
